Overnight, Moscow's missile and drone strikes have caused electricity outages in large parts of the capital city, the Ukrainian capital.
A number of civilians were wounded while inhabitants in eastern districts were plunged into darkness and dealt with disruption to water systems, as stated by local authorities.
Simultaneously, a minor was killed in a different aerial attack in the southeastern region in the southeastern part, based on information from area administrators.
Moscow has increased assaults on electrical systems over the past few days, while Ukrainian leadership has requested "concrete actions" from allies to exert influence on Moscow.
"What is required is not symbolic gestures but firm measures - from the United States, the EU and the G7 - in supplying defensive weapons and applying penalties," was stated in a public message.
Officials stated that 450 drones and more than 30 rockets attacked the country's power systems, characterizing such strikes as "cynical and calculated" and against "critical infrastructure" as winter approaches.
Energy officials said Moscow was "inflicting a massive strike" and maintenance teams were striving to restore power.
A barrage of missiles hit power facilities and residential structures in the capital.
Several of the people injured in the strikes on the capital have been hospitalized, per statements from city authorities.
Area administrators said the urban area experienced intense attacks overnight. A young boy died and several individuals were wounded.
The strikes come after evenings of bombing campaigns in the region, sections of which remain under the control of Russian forces.
The entire country is in a state of readiness for advanced weapon attacks, which are harder to spot.
National leaders told journalists that Moscow was deliberately attempting to demolish the country's energy grid, with strikes already affecting energy systems.
Authorities confirmed energy workers and officials were preparing for further attacks.
