I'll stamp all over 'legitimate boxer' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-bout match which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.

Briton Anthony Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "overpower" the American as the two fighters came face-to-face to publicize the upcoming bout.

Ex twice world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami's venue on 19 December.

Boxer's Mentality

"I will break his face and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35 years old, stated.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.

"I'm going to seriously aim to injure him. That's my goal."

Civil Exchange

Despite such comments, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - usually famous for his theatrics - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.

Paul rather attacked former Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and called him "a joke" after Ngannou turned down a match opportunity.

Targeting Fury

Anthony Joshua, at the same time, took aim at British rival Tyson Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul victory.

"[Paul] is better than Tyson Fury - he's present here," the boxer stated.

"I acknowledge that."

Serious Fighter

In spite of declaring he will damage his opponent, Joshua chose not to talk badly about his rival's fighting skills.

"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he stated.

Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has primarily boxed MMA fighters or declining opponents since turning professional.

He was defeated by British fighter Fury in 2023.

Commercial Attraction

However, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of the sport's biggest money-making draws, regularly earning substantial financial rewards.

Prediction and Belief

The 28-year-old anticipated a stoppage in rounds four or five and claimed he would stop the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently under discussion for two years from now.

"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul declared.

Physical Difference

As the two fighters met for the customary face-off, with their height and weight contrast evident, it emphasized just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is actually happening.
